1. We will eat lunch before we leave and we will travel by bus.
2. We will return before the afternoon buses.
3. There is no admission fee but kids can go to the concession stand once. They do usually give them a water but I haven't heard that this year.
4. We do allow them to take phones so that they can take a couple of pictures with friends but we don't allow them on the bus or for them to stay on them. They need to watch the game and hang out with friends.

Hello UMS! Tonight is the 29th Annual Academic Night at 6PM. We have 210 families signed up and ready to learn! Students will get their schedules at the end of the day today at school. It really helps if you bring those back with you when you return this evening.
We know the forecast, and if we have to stop in the middle of academic night to be safe, we will. But I do not think that will happen and we are proceeding!
This is a big night! We are excited and look forward to seeing everyone there!
Wise County Department of Social Services has initiated the D-SNAP program for residents of Wise County who were impacted by hurricane Helene.
The eligibility criteria for D-SNAP is less strict in order to provide food assistance to households that might not otherwise qualify for SNAP. *If you are not already a SNAP recipient* we will take in-person applications Monday, November 18, 2024 through Friday, November 22, 2024 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at 10365 Pinnacle Dive, Wise VA 24293.
Be sure to bring your ID when coming to apply. You will also need to be able to provide demographic information for all members of your household including Social Security Numbers. You must be in line before 6:00 pm Friday, November 22, 2024 to receive an application.
**Current SNAP recipients** do not need to apply. An automatic supplemental allocation will load to your EBT card by November 22, 2024.
