As you know, our Christmas Dance is fast approaching. Mr. Crutchfield wants to remind everybody that attending this dance is a privilege and is earned. If you are currently on the Chronic Absenteeism List, you will need to have special permission to attend which requires a meeting with Mr. Crutchfield. Permission to attend the dance will be based on a case by case
basis. Students who miss 2 or more days per month are considered chronically absent.

And now for an important reminder brought to you by your Eastside Guidance Department..
Did you know that after today, you have 6 more school days before our week long Thanksgiving Break???... also, did you know that after that, you have 15 more school days until Christmas Break!?!
This semester is quickly wrapping up! If your grades are not where you want them, please be mindful of getting in any makeup work, being prepared for upcoming important tests, and finishing strong as this semester comes to a close.

See an SCA Member to get a chance to win an Eastside Spartan Throw and support the Senior Tea!

The SCA will meet in room 103, Friday Nov 11th, at 11:25am. All members should attend this important meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting, stop by room 103, before going home from school on Friday for important meeting details.

This is a reminder that schools are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday (11.7.2022 and 11.8.2022). We look forward to welcoming our students back on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Thank you Wise County Animal Shelter and Paw Plaza for hosting Eastside’s Paws & Claws Club today! We learned so much about responsible pet ownership and some careers that involve working with dogs/cats.

Any student who is 17 or older wishing to donate blood, please see Mrs. Sutherland in room 102 to sign up.
Our next blood drive is Wednesday, November 16.

Friendly Reminder 😀 Once a student misses 5 days in a semester (excused or unexcused absences), only doctor’s excuses will be accepted to excuse absences for the remainder of the semester.

Tryouts for boys basketball will be Monday, November 7 at 6:00 PM.
You must have a physical to try out.
The nurse has physical forms if you need one.

FCS will meet today during one lunch in the library.

*Update*
Coeburn Middle School students are being bused to Eastside High School where they will remain until dismissed this afternoon. Parents are welcome to come pick up their students at any time. All parents who pick their children up in the afternoons will do so from EHS.

Congratulations to our amazing One Act team! We are so proud of you all!
