Union High School seniors interested in receiving the Marsh Blood Center Hero Cord (more often called the "blood cord") may still earn that honor.

The Hero Cord requires three donations made by the student (the minimum age of donation is 17, some Juniors may be eligible to donate) OR volunteers who donate in the student's name.

In order for donations to count toward the Hero Cord, the donor must tell the Marsh staff that they are donating for that specific student at Union High School here in Big Stone Gap.

Donations can be made at ANY Marsh Blood Center in the tri-cities at any time before Mid-May.
