Good Morning Union!

Happy Birthday today to Cody Durham  Hannah Willis, and Emmalee Miller. 

There WILL Not  be marching band practice today. Please see the Band 's Facebook page for more details. 

One Act will be having an informational meeting today at 3:45 in the Auditorium. You don't need to be an actor to join. We also need tech crew members, who work backstage. We hope to see you there. 

Anyone who received an invitation to the National Honor Society needs to talk to Ms. Holmes if they have any questions. Dues are to be turned in to Ms. Holmes.

The UVA-Wise campus tour is now full.

Any 10th or 11th grade student interested in taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 13th, please come by the guidance office and sign up.

Seniors who picked up the US Senate Youth Program scholarship information need to see Mrs. Salyer.

Students, please be mindful of the dress code. Moving forward, violations of the dress code will be addressed.

 A reminder that the Voices of Union Club will meet in the Art Room after school every Wednesday until 4:30.  

Thursday is Women's Equality Day and celebrates the day that most women got the right to vote. Unfortunately, women of color had to wait for decades before they, too, received this right. Show your support for women's equality by wearing purple on Thursday.  The Voices of Union club will be selling purple masks for $1 a piece, and proceeds will go to the local women's shelter.

Union High School would like to announce a new club: The Black Student Union! We will meet every week on Thursday mornings. Our Mission is create a place to support and listen to the experiences of African- American  students in our school. You don't have to be black to join. This club is not exclusionary, but Racism will absolutely not be tolerated. See you there. 

Good Luck to the JV Football Team in their game tonight at Dobyns Bennett. Game starts at 6:00 pm.
