Good Morning Union High School!

Happy Birthday today to Mason McConnell, Caleb McConnell, Brayden Mosier, Alex Adams, Kaci Boyd and Talen Smith.

Good luck today to the Varsity and JV Baseball teams and good luck to the track team.

Track team needs to be at Bullitt Park by 4pm.

Any student who will be in the 10th-12th grade for the upcoming school year and is interested in auditioning for drum major for the fall, please see Ms. Sturgill beginning next Monday for an audition information sheet.                                                                                                                                 

Football Weightlifting after school Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3:20-5:00.

If anyone would like to donate blood on April 1, please see Ms. Holmes to sign up. You must be at least 17 years old. 

Prom tickets will be on sale for the month of March only.  Prom tickets will not be sold at the door at prom or after March 31st.  The cost of each ticket is $20.  You may purchase from Ms. Lewis or Mrs. Schenck.  Also, if you are taking a guest that does not go to Union High School, they must be approved.  Names may be submitted to Mrs. Schenck or Ms. Lewis.  This also must be done by March 31.

Juniors are selling Seaver’s doughnuts to raise money for prom. Please see a junior class member to place an order or you may place your order online at Seaver’s. 

Juniors, the doughnut Prom Fundraiser is coming to a close. You may bring in your order forms and money to Ms. Lewis starting Thursday March 17. All orders must be turned in no later than Wednesday March 23. Doughnuts will be delivered on Wednesday March 30th between 2-4pm. Please make arrangements to pick them up.

Seniors, the Appalachia Alumni Scholarship is now available. You may pick applications up in the guidance office. 

Juniors, during the first week of April, Mr. Barker has arranged many job shadowing opportunities. You may stop by room 115 to see the list of businesses available. Job shadowing opportunities will be on a first come-first serve basis.  

Applications for summer Governor’s School are available in the guidance office. If you are a dual enrollment student working towards an Associate’s degree, please stop by and inquire about the governor’s school classes. 

Seniors, if you are interested in becoming a CNA or interested in other job opportunities with Ballad Health, please check your google classroom for information. Recent scholarship opportunities have been posted in the senior Google Classroom. Please look for information for the Blankenship/ Justice Scholarship, the Granville P. Meade Scholarship, and the Ryan E. Daugherty Scholarship. There is also a link for many other scholarship opportunities posted.
